With fast streamer postings all over the UK, we are developing future leaders and managers that are closer to the communities we serve.
Fast streamers cannot choose their department or their specific role However, we endeavour to meet location preferences wherever possible. On occasion, some individuals may need to move location subject to the demands of the departments we work with and/or business need. For fast streamers who are required to move location there is both financial and wider support available. We will consider relocation exceptions on an individual basis.
Relocation assistance
Relocation support of up to £2,000 is available for fast streamers. It may be paid on each occasion the fast streamer needs to temporarily move to be within reasonable travel distance of a post, whilst on the Fast Stream. Currently, this support is only available to the candidate once the fast streamer has started on the scheme.
Moving to a new place
Fast streamers are supported by a range of networks and groups if they relocate for their postings. These include regional and social mobility networks.
There are lots of ways you can prepare to move home:
● think about the type of area you want to live in and the commuting distance to work.
● go to the area a few times so you can experience the place at different times of day.
● try out the transport you will be using for your work and social life.
● find out if there is a local Facebook group for fast streamers.
