About us
We’re here to make tax in Wales simple, fair and accessible for everyone. Our role is to design and deliver services that help people register, calculate and pay Welsh taxes with confidence.
Since 1 April 2018, we’ve been responsible for collecting and managing two devolved taxes on behalf of the Welsh Government: Land Transaction Tax and Landfill Disposals Tax. We’re working on expanding our work to include the Visitor Levy and visitor accommodation registration, helping ensure tourism contributes sustainably to the places people love.
Every pound we collect goes straight back into Wales – supporting local communities and funding essential public services such as schools and the NHS.
