What is The National Armaments Director Group?
The National Armaments Director (NAD) Group brings together the teams responsible for developing, delivering, sustaining, housing and harbouring the UK’s ‘national arsenal’ and defence estate.
The NAD Group unites around 27,000 people across multiple MOD and government organisations. Together we provide integrated capabilities faster, more efficiently and with greater strategic effect for our armed forces and allies.
What does The National Armaments Director Group do?
- Builds the MOD armaments ecosystem.
- Designs and delivers the MOD’s operational and technological capabilities.
- Delivers digital technology, information systems, and cyber defence.
- Builds, maintains, and manages the infrastructure, facilities, and land for UK Armed Forces at home and abroad.
- Drives economic growth to increase exports, employment and economic security.
- Increases productivity and efficiency for Defence.
