Civil Service Pension

All new colleagues are automatically enrolled in the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.

As well as contributing to the scheme themselves, all members benefit from an employer contribution of at least 28.9%.

From day one, SLC colleagues are also provided with life insurance cover worth 4x their annual salary.

In addition, we work in a blended way, which means you can split your week between home and the office. Spending a minimum of two days per week in the office, or more if you prefer.

Giving Something Back

All SLC colleagues have the opportunity to give something back to their local community. We offer an annual paid day’s leave to volunteer within a local organisation or charity.

The volunteering day is an additional day of paid leave that doesn’t come out of your annual or other leave entitlement. It can be taken as one full day, or as part days.
