SLC’s Candidate Journey

At SLC, we want to deliver a positive, engaging and inclusive candidate journey regardless of the application outcome. 

Our processes are designed to ensure each candidate is treated fairly throughout their recruitment journey and provide transparency on our selection tools and methods. 

Our application process is simple. Candidates apply for a role via our jobs site, which includes creating a candidate profile, uploading their CV and completing a short questionnaire. Applications are managed by our team of Talent Acquisition Specialists, who will update candidates of their application outcome via email or telephone.

A typical recruitment process at SLC will consist of one or two stages, including a competency-based interview and depending on the role type there may be a presentation stage or a technical assessment. Our Talent Acquisition Specialists will advise shortlisted candidates on the selection process for the role they have applied for and expected timescales.

Pre-employment Checks

When you join us, you will become a trusted member of our team with access to sensitive information. We are required to complete some additional checks that allow you to work for a government organisation.

SLC’s vetting process is managed by a third party and can take approximately four weeks to complete. Our Talent Acquisition team will support candidates through our vetting process and provide progress updates via email and telephone.
