Lesley’s story

Lesley Nolan, Organisational Development Business Manager, has worked at SLC for 25 years and says that the organisation has always been more than a workplace to her.

She said: “It’s the place I have grown both professionally and personally, and also made some life-long friendships along the way.”

Lesley joined the organisation as a Customer Services Advisor in 1999 and since then has held many roles within SLC, and been involved in numerous projects, all of which have helped shape her career pathway.

She said: “Each role taught me resilience, adaptability and what it means to be part of an effective team. It is a very different place now, but the one constant has always been to deliver for our colleagues and customers.

“Beyond work, SLC has supported me through significant milestones including having children and given me flexibility to balance both home and work life when I needed it most.

“To sum it up, I love working for SLC. The ability to make a difference still really excites me and I know first-hand that it really is a great place to work.

“I look forward to the future with the same fresh excitement as that 21-year-old who walked through the SLC doors all those years ago.”
