Stephen’s story
Stephen joined SLC in 2015 as a core assessor before progressing into roles across Student Finance Wales. He went on to manage several SFW Processing services, later becoming a Senior Team Manager and Operations Manager, leading teams that supported students across Wales and championing positive culture, continuous improvement, and excellent customer experience.
In 2020, Stephen took on a new challenge by moving to the Funding Information Services Team. He represented SLC at events across the UK, strengthening stakeholder relationships through policy updates, technical briefings, and guidance sessions.
In 2025, Stephen began a secondment as a Stakeholder Engagement Manager. In this role, he leads engagement activity across major change programmes – including the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE).
