The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) supports around 20 million claimants and customers, administering the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits. Through Jobcentre Plus and other key services and programmes, the Department helps people to move into work and progress. DWP analysts and scientists develop the evidence base to inform key policies to tackle the root causes of poverty, improve financial resilience, and support families with children.
