  • 00:01 [A great place to work – East Midlands Regional Centre]
  • 00:05 [Nyari Mutiwanyuka, Co-ordinator, Transformation Team] Hi, my name is Nyari Mutiwanyuka. I work in the Transformation Team of the Business Services Directorate in the Insolvency Service.
  • 00:13 [Jack Brough, Administrative Officer, Insolvency] Hi, I'm Jack Brough. I work as an Admin Officer for the Insolvency Service.
  • 00:17 [Elizabeth Painter, Apprentice, People and Communications] Hi, I'm Elizabeth Painter, and I work in the Corporate Communications Team as an apprentice in the Insolvency Service.
  • 00:25 [Nyari] I transform! That's what my line manager likes to say. โ€Let's go out there and transform,โ€ he says. I really enjoy my job. I get to work with cool stuff, some of it is like, AI-related and quite a lot of tech stuff, which I'm quite interested in as well. I enjoy it because, although it's not necessarily insolvency-type work, it is work that enhances the type of services that we provide to the public.
  • 00:52 [Jack] My day-to-day job is I work on the initial case for different bankruptcies and liquidations that come in mainly just do background checks on people. I think the best thing about my job is the flexibility I can start early, get the day over and done with, and do what I want in the evenings.
  • 01:18 [Elizabeth] So the Insolvency Service has helped me to gain new skills by just being really supportive as a team, theyโ€™re always looking for opportunities for me to get involved in different projects and activities and it's also been a really open team, that are willing to have my feedback on things, even though I am just an apprentice. I've been able to have my input on a lot of different projects at different levels.
  • 01:36 [Nyari] It is a great place to work, as much as it's a small agency that I work within, you can see that we are being listened to, there is an effort that the leadership is making in terms of changing things.
  • 01:48 [Jack] Oh yeah! The team is great! I love everyone that I work with, especially even from different departments, you know, I'm only an Admin Officer I work with various different people and departments. Insolvency Service is a great place to work because of the people, and just the general atmosphere. As soon as you come in the office, everyone's inviting.
  • 02:10 [Elizabeth We have quite a cooperative and open team that is willing to listen to ideas from all sorts of places, and I think that that's great. It really builds my confidence in presenting my own ideas and coming up with concepts when I know that people are interested in hearing them. I feel like my voice is heard. I feel as if I can contribute and that my ideas will be heard and have value. And I think that's really important.
