Communications professionals play a key role in successfully communicating Defra policies to the public and supporting the delivery of public services.
If you join us as a Communications professional, you might work in internal communications, press and media handling, marketing, or digital communications.
Internal Communications
As part of our Internal Communications team, you will work closely with Communications Leads in our main arm’s-length bodies, as well as our Press and Digital teams. Here you will be driving and delivering Defra’s key priorities, and ensuring that our colleagues are engaged with the latest news and equipped to act as our best ambassadors.
External Communications
In our News and External Communications team, you could help to plan, co-ordinate and deliver announcements and policies to the relevant external audiences including the media, stakeholders, businesses, and the public.
